Sunday, May 18, 2025… Hello EIMS FH players and families! This is our final week of the modified FH season. And, of course, it will be another VERY BUSY week! Below is a quick overview of practices and games this week:
PRACTICES - We practice at EHS stadium MONDAY and THURSDAY this week. Plan parent pick-up between 5:15-5:30pm. PLAYERS CAN TURN IN THEIR NAVY BLUE JERSEYS ANY DAY THIS WEEK (preferably on Monday… the navy jersey DOES NOT need to be washed).
GAMES - We have THREE GAMES this week… ALL at HOME!
TUESDAY HOME 5pm game (EHS Stadium turf) vs Penfield Bay Trail MS. Players wear white jerseys/white socks.

MODIFIED FH PLAYERS TURN IN UNIFORMS THIS WEEK!
This is the final week of the EIMS ModFH season. It is VERY IMPORTANT that players turn in their uniforms this week. This is how it works:
PLAYERS KEEP:
navy socks
white socks
mouth guard
white Lancer FH t-shirt they received at the start of the season
PLAYERS TURN IN THIS WEEK:
navy jersey
white jersey
navy skirt
shin guards (if borrowed from Lancer FH)
FH stick (if borrowed from Lancer FH)
goggles (if borrowed from Lancer FH)
cleats (if borrowed from Lancer FH)
NOTE PERTAINING TO BORROWED FH EQUIPMENT: If players think they will be joining us for free summer FH workouts @EHS on Tu/Th mornings starting 6/30, they should request to keep the shin guards, FH stick, goggles and/or cleats they have been using this season.
We encourage players to turn in their navy jersey at practice on Monday (though it can be turned in any day this week). The navy jersey DOES NOT need to be washed.
All other items will be collected after the game on Friday. Players should bring a change of clothes for after the game on Friday.
GIRLS IN GRADES 6-12
Our FREE Tu/Th Early Morning Summer FH Workouts @EHS Begin 6/30
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday (starting Tuesday 6/30/25 and ending on Thursday 8/14/25) @EHS Stadium to play FH on the stadium turf and also to complete our professionally-developed conditioning and functional strength training workouts.
These workouts are suitable for girls involved in any type of sport. That means the workouts will be beneficial to you no matter what EHS sports team (if any) you choose to participate on this Fall.
Our FREE Tu/Th sessions run 7:30-11:30am.
No experience necessary. No equipment needed.
This is a “drop in” program. Join us whenever you are in town and available.
It is a lot of fun! It is also a great way to get in shape!!

FALL 2024: CONGRATULATIONS LIJEYNIE & SALICE!!
LIJEYNIE — 12th grade EHS FH team captain and our center back — was named to First Team All County! This is a significant honor for Lijeynie and our entire EHS FH program. Be sure to congratulate Lijeynie when you see her!
SALICE — 11th grade EHS FH attack line player — was named to Second Team All County! This is a significant honor for Salice and our entire EHS FH program. Be sure to congratulate Salice when you see her!
FALL 2024: NYS SCHOLAR ATHLETE TEAM 12 YEARS IN A ROW!
We are pleased to announce that our Fall 2024 Lancer FH team once again earned NYS Scholar Athlete Team honors. This is the 12th year in a row that our team has achieved this honor. Academics are always a priority for our program and we are grateful to have such an amazing group of Student Athletes in our Lancer FH program.
FALL 2024: SECTION V FH TEAM SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD!
This is the fourth time in the past 12 years that Lancer FH has received the Section V Team Sportsmanship Award (2014, 2019, 2022, 2024). The award is voted on by the Greater Rochester Field Hockey Umpire Board. Coach Cooper and Coach Fischer work hard to keep our EHS FH program moving in a positive direction. We are grateful for our awesome players, fantastic parents and supportive Athletic Department. This award recognizes the efforts of players, coaches, parents and our school district in pursuing good character and sportsmanship within athletic programs and in athletic competitions.

FALL 2023: SECTION V (DIV 2) COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR
Lancer Field Hockey Coaches Cooper and Fischer were honored to be named the Fall 2023 Section V Division II Coaching Staff of the Year by our fellow Section V field hockey coaches. It is a testament to the great improvement our very young varsity team made throughout the Fall 2023 season! (DID YOU KNOW? Coach Fischer was also named Section V Division II Coach of the Year in Fall 2016. That was another season of great improvement for our Lancers and also a season in which Coach Fischer coached BOTH the varsity and JV teams.)
