IMPORTANT UPDATE: For Modified Field Hockey Players (and Families) Who Are Also In The EIMS Musical
Coach Fischer has communicated several times with the Director of the EIMS Musical (Ms. Borello). Below is information we have both agreed upon. If you see any errors in the information, please let Coach Fischer know ASAP. Otherwise, the information presented below is how we see the next two weeks unfolding for EIMS modified field hockey players who are also participating in the EIMS musical.
PLEASE NOTE: As we get closer to the musical performance dates (particularly the week of Mon 4/28-Sat 5/3), we will leave it up to families to decide how players should split their time between FH and the musical. Our Lancer FH program always states that player health, family obligations and academics are top priorities for our student athletes. We also recognize and respect the fact that some of our players made a commitment to the musical several months prior to joining modified FH. With those priorities in mind, we will respect family decisions on how best to allocate time between these two significant actitivies — especially the week of 4/28-5/3. Please just communicate your decisions clearly to Coach Fischer. Thx :)

MODIFIED FH AWAY GAME: 5pm AWAY GAME at Webster Basket Rd Turf Field (team bus returns to EHS approx 6:45-7pm)
IMPACT ON FH PLAYERS:
Chloe / Socorro / Lena - We understand that these players will not be able to attend FH game (Reason: These 3 players need to be set up with microphones)
Ariana - This player needs to check in with Ms. Borello about whether she needs to be at full rehearsal or whether she can participate in partial or full FH game.
Grace / Kristen / Chaya / Cara / Nadia / Lyla / Selina - These players will be able to attend partial or full FH game
NOTE for Weds 4/23 AWAY Game:
Parents of musical participants can choose to carpool players after the game so that they can return to EHS sooner than team bus. If a carpool is created, families must contact Athletic Director Mr. Vacanti via email at least one day in advance to obtain his permission for players to not ride the team bus back to EHS. Kvacanti@eastiron.org
Coach Fischer and Coach Cooper are also OK with musical participants leaving the game early (e.g., at the end of the third quarter - approximately 5:45)

IMPACT ON FH PLAYERS:
It is our understanding that all 11 musical participants will need to be at the full 3-6pm musical rehearsal. All 10 will not be able to attend FH practice on 4/25.

MUSICAL REHEARSAL: ALL CALL: Run Show/Fix 9am-12noon @EHS
MODIFIED FH HOME GAME: 1:30pm HOME GAME vs. Webster Willink @EHS (game ends approx 2:45pm)
IMPACT ON PLAYERS:
It is our understanding that all 11 musical participants will be able to attend this game (FH team sets up field at approx 12:45… pregame warmups begin at 1pm)
NOTE: If possible, musical participants should try to arrive at stadium turf in uniform (white jersey/white socks) in time for 1pm pregame warmups. If a family thinks that a player will need to arrive later than 1pm, please let Coach Fischer know in advance.

It is our understanding that all 11 musical participants will not be able to attend FH practice on 4/28. They will have musical responsibilities that extend beyond rehearsal time (e.g., microphones, costumes & cast photos) that will make them unavailable to attend any portion of FH practice.
